About the role:
At AgileCadence our people and culture are the heart of our company. As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for building, maintaining and optimising data pipelines and integration solutions across client projects. You’ll work closely with colleagues and customers to enable high-quality, scalable use of data within the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform ecosystem. This role offers the chance to influence how data is handled within a growing Microsoft-focused consultancy, using modern Azure technologies and contributing to our internal tools and delivery practices.
You will be:
- Designing and developing data pipelines, ETL processes, and integration solutions across multiple projects.
- Working with consultants and clients to map, migrate and transform data from legacy systems into Dynamics 365 and Dataverse.
- Building and maintaining Azure-based data services such as Data Factory, Synapse, SQL, Data Lake and Microsoft Fabric.
- Supporting Power BI report development with clean, optimized datasets and models.
- Helping establish internal best practices and reusable tools/templates for data engineering.
- Troubleshooting and resolving data quality and performance issues.
- Using Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and work item tracking to support agile delivery.

About you:
- You are ideally educated to degree level in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering) and professionally qualified with relevant Microsoft certifications.
- You have a proven track record as a Data Engineer or ETL developer, preferably in a consultancy or high-growth environment.
- You are resilient, practical and a real self-starter; you are comfortable working on your own and as part of a team.
- You have superb spoken and written communication skills, and a passion for working with people.
- You have strong SQL skills and experience working with Azure data tools (e.g. Data Factory, Synapse, SQL Database, Microsoft Fabric).
- You understand Dynamics 365 and/or Dataverse data structures and integration approaches.
- Customer focus – you work hard to understand our customer’s needs, always striving to enable our team to exceed expectations.
- Whilst you might be approached with individual, problems you are solutions focused for all and can look at the bigger picture.
- You are highly organised, with the ability to manage your time effectively and prioritise your own workload with multiple conflicting demands.
